For my SBC in my bracket car.....they guy that had it before me used VR1 20w-50 and would move to just straight 40W in the hot of the summer. Why would he do this??....seems that the 20/50 would offer better protection when the engine got to operating temps??
Next question I would have is if there would be any significant advantage to going with the VR1 10w-30? Perhpas pick up a bit on performance?....but would that be at the cost of any protection?
Thoughts??
