two stroke turbo

#1 Post by corvettekiller666 » Sat May 23, 2009 7:56 am

can I successfully equip a 90cc 2stroke kawasaki with a small turbo??
or what would be a good way to increase power otherwise.

Try it, what have you got to loose?? Finding a turbo that small may be an issue. Tinkering is fun, no one ever thought you could put a jet engine in a bike, but it has been done, lucky J. Leno

Better fuel is a power adder as well.

Goto a rc car/hobby shop and ask about running some of there fuels. I think you can get it premixed with nitromethane in different percentages.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.

If the bike means that much to you, I would get another to use as a test mule. Thee is no sense in tearing up the one you really love in the name of sience! Get a cheap bike to try it on, go easy on the tune up and if it works great. IF not, you didn't kill your good toy.

By all means, try it on junk first.
I think the proplem will be controlling the air flow. The reeds as I know them open and close with the air flow from the piston, however I don't think they will work with a turbo, you will need to find a way to open and close the air flow in a sealed and or controlled manner.

10-4 - maybe a go-kart ?

Pick up a little 250cc 2-stroke, hang in on a kart and plumb in that turbo setup....
