I loved racing slot cars. I still have all my stuff , and even buy models every now and then with the chance I can find a chance to build a few more cars.
I live in So. cal and raced all the Hard Shell Nats, and other big weekedn races. Its funny that we would back the truck drive 3 hours, get a hotel for the weekend to race slot cars. It sure is fun. I have a 2 year old and am going to have a son de on Nov 22 so hopefully in a few years I can them out to the slot car track, I can glue the cars up and just let them pull the triggers. Maybe the old lady will like playing with the roundy round cars.
My biggest problem is that it is usually 6 hours on a saturday night and its just hard to take that much time and try to work on my race car and work during the week. I dont think its fair to the family to work all week ,work on my race car then try to leave for a good part of the day. Hopefully in the future I can involve everybody and I can get back at it

We used to race the itty-bitty HO slots (I think the were called). These little boogers were about 2 inches long and really screamed...

Slot cars those were the good old days.
Raced the open class cars, 0-60 in a blink of an eye, could hardly even see those cars they went so fast.
Cobalt magnets the works. AH good old days.
No tracks left here in So. Ca. that I know
Gotta plan, spend it before she can, and go as fast as you can.
