The first hit on the T-brake was no good, instant tire spin. The 2nd was the same. This transmission is out of a Top Sportsman car so the trans brake relief orfice is larger than it needs to be for my car. I will have to plug it and redrill a smaller hole.
I did make 2 footbrake hits and it did better. The jetting was way off from Pro-Systems, 4 sizes too big front and rear. Could not get it to pull past 6000 rpm's the first foot brake hit. Jeted it down and bumped the time up and made a last hit and it did alot better. Ran out of time to do anymore test but did end it on a good pass considering.

So here's the video of the last pass. There is still more in it, we ran out of time to make some changes and hit it again.

I've never heard of someone modifying the transbrake reaction time? to change how the car launches?? Lost me on that one. Maybe the reason the footbrake hits were better was because it flashed the converter different? Launch RPM I assume was at different RPM's right?

Real good you got to get out and get some hits on the car, and the best news, nothing broke! Don't stress the ET's, that will come soon when you get to start making laps and tweaking it to make it happy.

The pressure bleeds off faster when the t-brake releases with a bigger relief hole so it hit's harder. The trans came out of a 2100lb, 704 ci motor, 17/33.5 tired car that runs 4.40's with .98's 60'. I know, it's a lot of transmission. It's what i have to work with right now..... We can make it work.

The rpm for the L-limiter on the brake was set at 4000 and the I foot braked it at 2000. it will stall up at 4600 on the brake. We are going to try to lower the L-limiter on the brake to see if helps, wanted to try that Friday night but ran out of time. We wanted to aleast make some kind of good hit so to have something to go off of.

The carb is still fat and the timing needs to go up some more. I think it still has about .2 tenths in it maybe more. it's already going faster than a few cars in my class without nitrous in just 4 hits...... :smt003

I'm very happy with the results. The car is all new and did very well on shake down night. :thumb: :thumb:

glad you made it out and you came back with everything where it was no broken parts. not to shabby for first time out remember you and your car never run perfect your just getting use to it you and your car will started picking up tenths soon.i'm with john on the trans thing it was something i never heard of either but i am no trans guy neither could you play with ramping your timing in or suspension to stop your wheel spin easyier then messing with the trans?
give it some messing with and you will be running the number faster then you think i hate the first few trips to the track.
hell my first few pass in the quarter to get things worked out sucked i was running 10.08 10.02 i was pretty upset next time out 9.99 and a 9.82 and the next time out right before the pinks race it was running 9.89 and the 9.83 and then during pinks passes i had 2 at 9.81 back to back then the next day at pinks 9.40 who knows why  .now it's a steady 9.0 something you can see why i hate the learning curve so don't be surprized how much you pick up after some small changes and seat time for you and your car getting to know each other. but i would try to make the dig7 box work for you before trans changes unless it is really easy and you are 100% sure thats will fix the problem.
i still say next time out you will hit a 6.30 then faster from there. just my 2 cents
rob

i guess i am in a typing mood lol
