Do yours have a chrome strip that mounts on top of the panel? I've been looking for something to add a little bling bling instead of just plain black.

No I don't want them on mine but they are available and I think they're stainless.

I think the stripes just have tabs and you just bend over to hold them on.

Go to classic industries and look for the door panels for the 69 camaro and you'll find them.

Hey John,

I just checked, Classic's sells a door molding set for a 68-69 Camaro, std interior, front set (2pc) for $30 or a frt and rr set (4pc) for $35.

Boy are you going to catch flak if you put some Camaro parts on the Nova......

Check with your local auto upholstery shop. Where I used to work they got aluminum strips of stuff they used to make bars on door panels. For example, if you were to create a panel that was vinyle on top with the bottom 6" or so carpet. We would put it across that seam to hide it. It was maybe 1/2" wide and 1/4" tall. Cross section made a square curled C...so tou use small machine screw to fasten it into the door...the slide in. Then you pie cut the ends and fold it so the tips come to a nice point. I put some in a 55 chevy, I'll see if I can dig up some pics.

Something like that might work. I think I have it figured out how to overlap the seam so it will look good. I found some cool aluminum door pulls the other day at Home Depot so I have something to grab onto to pull the door shut. The door panel project is down the road anyway, probably work on that after it gets back from paint.

I've already got the door panels made with no holes, just need to put some vinyl or something on them now to purdy them up a bit.

john most of the aftermarket door panels do not come with the holes. they are prepunched on the back but you have to cut the front out. john

Good to know. More than likely I'll make do with my home made ones as I've already got them cut out and ready to cover.
