Re: Another round of the "Guessing Game"
dam chris i thought this going to be the day you would hit the number hopefully it will be a easy fix. what suspension changes have you had to make just wondering, sounds like you might be ready for more clutches in the trans if you just blew thought the clutch pack. at this point you are probably pushing the trans with the torque your starting to make now. well glad it wasn't worse.

I think we should all chip in and buy Rob a box of punctuation. It appears he ran out.chpcamaro wrote:dam chris i thought this going to be the day you would hit the number hopefully it will be a easy fix. what suspension changes have you had to make just wondering, sounds like you might be ready for more clutches in the trans if you just blew thought the clutch pack. at this point you are probably pushing the trans with the torque your starting to make now. well glad it wasn't worse.

Re: Another round of the "Guessing Game"
I thought it would be the day also Rob. Looking at the video a friend took it looks like I tripped the 60' clock with the back tires. I wondered why the 60' time was 1.513. It felt a lot faster than that. It held the front end up off the springs all the way to the tranny letting go, it had not done that before. The 4 passes before that one lead us to the set up that seemed to be the ticket for the night. I sure wished the trans would have waited to let go so I could see what it had.
Now it's time for the mini tubs and slicks.

Yep, a glide..........
It really is getting too hot to go to the track right now so it's a good time to do some work I've been wanting to do.

Re: Another round of the "Guessing Game"
Thanks Bruce! I knew you would have a good laugh for me.
I got about 40 passes out of the tranny after rebuilding it which is 38 passes more than the friend I got it from would get out of it when he had it in his car. It has lots of good parts in but may be wore out just enough to be a pain in the ass. I'll rebuild it one more time and after that it's a new one.
