*ouch* - sorry bud, that sucks...

Too much flex in things, putting stress on the case ? Sounds like maybe thats whats 'helping' you shift now ? Just a thought...

i'm betting the case had a weak point in it to start as for mounts solid motor and trans should be uretane or solid (perferably uretane) but never rubber and never rubber motor mounts with solid or uretane trans mounts. i still bet the case had a weak point was the cause jm2c

I have a front plate and mid plate. The trans has a rubber mount.

Now I was told if you run solid mounts, never to run a solid tranny mount and you should run either a rubber or poly mount. You need to have some type of flex.

Sorry Matt, tough season for you huh?
Those who think they know it all have no way of finding out they don't.........

bruce if you have flex that a rubber trans mount offers you will end up like what happen to blade why would you need flex if your motor is solid mounted why would want your trans to move when it is bolted solid to the engine that means something got to flex besides the rubber trans mount which in turn means something will break plus bell housings don't like to flex lol so if your running a rubber mount change it now or order the new case now so it is sitting on the self and ready to be put in the car lol

think about it your solid mounted to the frame via motor plates now the way your aplying force to the plates your trying to roll the motor side ways well you will never get flex in that direction do to the shear load the plate can take plus your frame is using solid body mounts and you have a roll cage all this is there to stop any flex and make the car ridgit. so having the trans flex when everything else is solid and doesn't flex doesn't sound like a good idea. now when you have the force of the engine trying to twist something and you have a rubber trans mount what is going to give the >bell housing it is the weak link now if it is solid or a uretane mount it is going to try to twist the trans internal parts well that is why we build them with the high dollar parts we use. this is why they started putting trans mounts years ago they use to just hung the trans off the back of the engine with no mount but the trans would break the bell housings once they switched to aluminum bell housings because they use to be cast iron. now with that said i would perfer a uretane mount just to absorb any vibrations kind of like a dampner for the trans plus the uretane doesn't flex like rubber it almost has zero give this is jm2c

If I already have the manuel valve body in the trans now can I just add the transbrake soleniod?
