Plumbed my intake...

#1 Post by Hitchcock » Sat Nov 26, 2011 8:16 am

Here is a pic of a first attempt, and rough plumb job. I'm not sure if I'm gonna leave it this way or not. Probably will...

I prefer using hard line at the carbs its smaller and less cluttered but that looks good and functional and its DONE!!

I like the hard line stuff too. But I didn't really want to mess with it.

I would like this a lot more if it did not have those carbs on there.

You know, the next time I have to replace my fuel lines up top I'm going with black fibre-sheathed teflon lines. The stainless stuff I have is fine for now, but the cost was pretty steep and all it really gained me was eye-candy appeal.

Of course, your mileage may vary. :smt003

Harry, I wanted to get the black braided line too. But it was about double what teh steel braid was and I was already dropping a bunch of cash on it right before christmas. So I settled for the steel braid. The fittings are Jegs brand, and I think they are just as good as the Earls ones I used on my fuel pump and filter set up.

Go with it Hitch. Braided line make removing bowls for jet changes easier than hard lines. IMO

Wow, really ? Sounds like you made the right decision then. And it does look great, what you've got in place. And yep, Jegs or Summit or Earls, it's all the same stuff pretty much.

Looks good to me. Personally, I avoid 90° bends but I see plenty of other folks using them and your trying to do a lot more than my single setup :)
