I got tired of breaking parts so i did a complete rebuild of my car with the idea of reliability, well reliabilty for a manual trans car.

The only thing thats the same on the car is the body, engine, trans, bellhousing, clutch, driveshaft, rearend, rack, front half of cage are all new and this weekend we went out to try and get some license runs in.

All suspension and clutch settings were tight to not put the car on the bumper. Weather was corrected to 900 ft

specs on the car are
67 camaro
trz front susp with afco doubles up front, single Qa1 on rear
3100lbs with me in it
415 sbc n/a injected alcohol 810hp @8100 610ft lbs @6100 rpm, short shifting at 7300
mcleod clutch
lenco st1200 trans
dana 60 with 4.56s
10.5 x 28 tires

lots of problems the first time out, data logger didnt work, engine was fat and had a tough time getting it warm, forgot some tools, air tank had wrong fitting...grrr

Oops and its still using cal tracs and split leafs.

I will try to figure out how to post some pics tonight..its been a while

very nice.
love the engine bay and headers.

i asked about cooling because im in the process of removing my radiator. im hoping it works. even though i already have a light weight radiator(scirocco) i would still drop quite a bit of weight

are you thinking of removing the water pump too or do you plan to still circulate water?

Yes John we did tow, primarily because of the amount of fuel it uses. Even with the fuel shut off leaned out while warming it up it will burn 3 gallons of fuel to get to 140. Its probably going to get block heaters.

71 the water pump will stay.

You should be able to get away with no radiator on alky.

Not many guesses, hmm. C'mon boys its just a N/A small block

Ok oh well first pass was a 330'-660' pass somewhere in that range and it went 5.92 @ 100mph 1.323 60'. I was completely happy with that even though clutch was tight and spun pretty good on that pass.

After 2 years of no seat time im glad it was a short pass, nervous as hell, im not even sure i seen a shift light.
