I know I drive and Camaro but still, just because we are on the top of the Chevy chain, doesn't mean we don't have feelings...right Harry?
So I just wanted to wish all of you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I hope Santa or Mrs. Santa brings you everything on your list.
I'm done today at 1:30 and then won't be back at work till Jan 2 so I'll talk to you then.

Very well said Harry, very well said.....
Guess we shocked the DragStuff gang that drives all those "other" type of cars.
We left them speechless with our kindness.
Hence why we are at the top.

I thought I'd try and get a jump on things by installing my new front springs....wrong!
I should have stayed sitting in front of the tv eating bonbons...
The one side was done in under an hour, but the other side, well was not so easy. Finally after a bloody hand, a lot of flying words the spring came out. But the it let lose in the clamp and tore apart my braided steel brake line!
I got things back in and only to find, it sat a little to high so by the time the new parts get here (I also tore a ball joint boot) I'll let things set and then pull the springs back out and cut off a link to bring me back down to where I was before.
Time to go watch more tv....see ya and hope everyone has a safe new years.

Dude, a coil over conversion for those is pretty cheap and easy. About 300 bucks and you'll have everything you need. It's a nice bolt on job. I used coil overs up front on mine and the only thing I had to do was clearance the Lowry control arm for the running knob.

Coil overs tend to have less travel than regular spring setups, that's not always a good move. The quicker the car the less travel it will need. I don't know where exactly you would make that call, but I've seen that cause issues on say 10-11 second (1/4 mile) cars. In the 9 second range seems like that's about where you have to start cutting back travel and/or slow the shock significantly to keep the car off the bumper.

I agree a slower car needs more travel.

Hear that Bruce! The words slower car were just used to describe a Camaro. BA-ZING!
