Figured there is a ton of info here so i would post up about my minitub/narrowing adventure ahead of me.
Feel free to post any info, questions, pics, etc.
Here is a start on another forum:
http://forums.performanceyears.com/foru ... p?t=586637
Keep in mind this is a STREET car still, i do some dragging but the street is my primary use.
I plan on minitubbing, relocating springs/shocks, and narrowing the diff with bearing locating ends instead of c-clip eliminators.
Already have the following:
28x13.5-15 MT ET Streets
On order 15x10 AR Classic TTII's 5.5BS
33 spline spool 8.5''
DSE offset shackles
Running multi-leaf springs
Probably going to order the DSE tubs and some double adj. shocks.
I may go with sliders instead of offset shackles, depends on ride height. I do not want to go too low, stock would be fine i think.
See my sig for a link to pics of current combo.
Ultimate goal is to lower the rear and fit wider tires so i can achieve better launches and more traction on the street especially.
BTW, i am looking for some pics of this tire width and possible height combos. I have been looking through the pics on this site but it can be tough to decifer some of it.
I am possibly a month out from beginning as i am currently finishing my garage before i can begin on the car.

chpcamaro- do you know what tubs those are? They look great! I was looking at detroit speed and eng. tubs but they are pricey!
I am open to any info, kits, etc. if someone knows of a good setup which is relatively low cost. I do not need a high dollar setup but something that works. I have decided double adj. shocks are a must but other than that i am still exploring options.

Here's my .02 I'd like to add. If I did it all over again...
I used the factory tubs split the inner tub in the middle and added a steel strip to stretch the tub out. After I cut the tub down the middle, I cut the floor as close to the tub as I could and pulled it out. I removed what was left of the factory flange from the tub.
So here's my hind sight. I cut the floor back even with the notched frame...bad. I put the dressed tub against it and welded it in. This made it kinda ugly...fillet weld(I believe) covered up with a bunch of seam sealer. If I did it again instead of cutting the floor back to the frame I would leave an inch and bend it down and make a new flange to weld the tub to.

You should be able to hook that thing up on small tires. Here is a video of my Ventura. It has a solid cam and steel factory d port heads.
