RPM questions

#1 Post by Hookdaddy » Thu Jul 31, 2014 5:39 pm

Hey Randy, I haven't had a chance to call but I have a couple questions.

1. Recently my EGT has either failed or is about to. I'm only getting readings under 50 degrees. The probe is in the same location and depth. Any ideas?

2. I have added a FAST O2 meter and it has a wire to connect to a data logger. Do you know if it is compatible with my RPM Super System?

Thanks in advance.

The EGT is probably shorting to the body of the probe or the braided line. That will make it read low, usually in the negative range.

If the Fast, O2 output is between 0 and 5 volts, you can log it in the data logger. All you need is an analog cable and a connector to put on the signal line from the Fast system.
