If you don't have to have a Tilton style have you ever thought about a Delco mini starter? The good one is 10465167 non china but there is a china one 88864291. I use the 10465167 on two of our motors and it has never let us down and it start a 13.1 motor with no problems in the heat. There is a pic of it on this page http://www.geocities.com/diels12000/Starters.html

I've had great luck out of my Nippondenso style starter from Summit. Picked it up used off Ebay.

Thanks Guys
I bought a 3.0hp mini starter from an Ebay shop close to me $79.00 inc shipping
several people have had good luck with them even running high cmp motors
just finished fitting and wiring it works great hopefully it will last a season .
