Re: Recomend a slick...
I've had about every 10.5 wide tire that mickey & hoosier make in the 28-30" tall range on my car. Theres no doubt in my mind that it will run quicker with one of the Hoosier radial slicks that Bob suggested. Might need to tune the suspension & (front end alignment if using bias fronts). They are the best move I've ever made as far as tires go. If your wanting to street drive guite a bit then I'd go with the mickey drag radial. I think they'll hook as good as the Hoosier radial slick(they did on mine), but they're heavy weight will slow You down a bit.

Well, I was worried about north of 6K like the 6500-6800 range. Cause I figure that is about where I'll be if I make no changes. I suppose it wouldn't kill me to try it once then make changes though huh.John_Heard wrote: On the other issue, even on a low end engine I wouldn't be worried about turning one 6k.

Sheesh...there's a 7 pound difference from a 28" to a 30" goodyear. I guess I'll buy the 28's quit cryin and just win a race at my eigth mile track and get my 4.11s

Re: Recomend a slick...
I'm liking the 0955s M/Ts as previously suggested. Some folks on other sites seem to say the car will ne more "stable" at the big end with stiff sidewalls. Has anyone here experienced this, this would be a plus for me as mine gets kinda wobbly/floaty after I pull through the traps.

Re: Recomend a slick...
I pickud up some MT 3055's at the local swap meet this morning. Not the stiff walls like I was wanting...but for 180 bucks I couldn't say no. The guy said they only had 20 passes on them. He went to a bigger tire. Since he was also selling the backseat to his ride, I figured he wasn't fibbing too much. Now I got the dough for my spool and gears.
