I'm *almost* to the point where they automatically point out the Seniors section in the restaurant menu, *Almost*.

Still up on the stands, engine hanging next to it. Been too damn busy this year to do anything with it. Gonna be my winter time project though, I'm hoping.

I wanna get back to the track this next year, mebbe do Vegas this time and yard it back down to SoCal to play with the boys down there again

I'm planning on stepping up to a more hard-core top end with a set of Isky EZ-Roll bushed lifters, heavier Manton push rods and a set of Jesel shaft rockers for the next go-around. I'm still on the fence though, as to whether or not to go with standard 1.70 shaft rockers or step up to 1.75 on either or both intake and exhaust.

Rob tells me not to mess with it as the combo I've been running really produces a lot of grunt and seems to behave all across the power band but I'm still itching to tweak things a bit for this next build. My current cam/spring combo is not too wild though a bit agressive for long-term street use. 265 seat, 700 open, symmetrical I/E grind .420 lobe which at a 1.70 ratio yeilds .714 at the valve. If I step up to 1.75 shaft rockers, it'll bop me up to .735 valve lift. I've considered whether to step up on the exhaust rocker ratio only, but I still don't know what the change might do. Recall that I'm spinning this blower at 13% over making around 12.5 lbs of boost at full tilt boogie. The worst thing I could do is drop $1100 on a set of shaft rockers that hurts my combo, ya know ? I just don't know what the harmonics are for air flow in and exhaust scavenge out - things work well now but...

So the jury is still out as to exactly what parts I want Santa to bring this year. :smt003

Whats cooking with your ride ? Gonna plan on a noisy year coming up ? :smt003 :thumb:

This year was a big disappointment to me. I was all set to get the car down and like clockwork, somebody needs something and my wife's paycheck isn't going too far with the cost of gas and foods prices.

My coworker and engine builder offered to pay my way in, but they have already done so much for me, I had a hard time accepting the offer.

The car is basically ready to go though.

We're having a birthday bash this weekend and I got friends that haven't seen the car yet and I'm itching to see the looks on their faces, because the last time they saw this car, was like 15 years ago and it was still in pieces. I'd love to fire it up, but the driveway will be full and I'm sure the wives won't be to happy with the men running outside. That's the only problem with having a garage attached to the house.

Harry, I'm far from the smartest person when it comes to this stuff but, I wouldn't think harmonics of air flow and exhaust scavenging are anything you need to worry about with a blower.

Just throw a smaller pulley on it!!!

Been there, done that :smt003

Naw, I think exhaust flow dynamics are still uber critical with a blower build. With the blower, you're pushing airflow into the cylinders but you're still dependent on conventional exhaust outbound arrangements.
