holly springs last weekend!

#1 Post by camaroman9 » Wed Apr 24, 2013 8:33 pm

Well, we went down to holly springs, ms last weekend for their spring shootout. We had a tough weekend, with lots of setbacks from our logger, blown carb gasket, and a broken intermediate shaft in the transmission, but with the help of a lot of great people we were able to keep going. We had a New pb 60 foot of 1.28, but couldn't quite get the tuneup where we wanted before it was all said and done.

Nice runs....I like the scream that came with the second run when the front end came up.

Also, here is a link to the in car video we got. Next time I will get a view out of the windshield. This was more intended for watching the gauges to see what oil, water, and oil temp were doing during a run.

John lost a hood

Please give us details John.....

(I know it's old news but I haven't actually heard the story, video would even be better.....)

I got 10 fasteners on my hood, should there be more?

Back in 2008 I launched the hood into low earth orbit. Sheared the aluminum hood pins (4) and it landed in the other lane which disqualified me and cost me the 1st round win.
