Re: Holley carb

If it has an air horn the list number for the carb is there and you can go through the Holley catalog / online and bounce the parts list against what you have. If it is a "street" Holley it would more than likely be a version of a 3310 I think.

Car is about 3000 lbs' with me when my buddy drives ( We share the fun) about 35lbs' lighter (skinny old guy) the springs are 95lbs and scaled about 56% front 44%rear (if memory is correct). Moroso trick fronts and 90/10 shocks. The springs are in the range of the front end weight. Used to have a 10...

Baffled engineering strikes again!

Hi! Been awhile, Have a new 8" converter in the '64 GTO :D Leaves much better! Blows the 9" off :( Lowered pressure and hooks better :D Down track gets a bit loose! Car usually goes straight as an arrow :D Shocks are QA1 coil overs single adjustables. Think maybe set to soft for th...

Re: New VFN hood

We have a vfn nose, doors, trunk lid, and back bumper. Only complaints are 1 door had the inner laminated a bit off, pain in backside to fit in jamb, trunklid front corners bow up a bit. Thought quality was ok and cost fair. Just my 2 cents! Good luck with it.

Re: Feedback on hook

Thanks, We have been chasing things on it, and finaly had real consistancy in the car, but our driving sucked! Took the 428 out and put a 400 out to 468 with some Aluminumn Kaufman Heads Comp cam etc. While we have not dyno'd it should make an easy 75-100 more horses. I thought that the old Lakewood...

Re: Feedback on hook

Have not gone higher on shock seting yet. Tried putting the slick pressure up first runs at this event and spun em out of the hole. Went down on tire pressure then discovered by track photo this! Of course this photo was found the last day of the event! It is foot braked and am trying to develop a g...

Feedback on hook

Any opinions on the hook of the Goat? 9" x 28", QA1 single adj. coil over 3 up from softest setting, 95lb. springs, 12 PSI in slicks, stock Pontiac rear sway bar, Edelbrock adj. uppers and Hothkiss lowers. 4.10 in Chevy 12 bolt. 60' 160's 10.90-11.00 in hot weather. Weighs little over 3,00...

Just use factory specs for application if you want and add loctite to converter bolts. I think most folks just tighten the crap out of them! If I recall most bell bolts are about 35-40 and the converter to flex is around 35-45 dependent on size and number.
