Uhhh... I'd bet the thousands of people who's local track is NHRA run NHRA. Thanks for sharing though and please chime back in when you get to high school. Maybe you could open the same type dialogue for you IHRA guys. Now that would make you "rock" in 2nd period shop class.

2008 NHRA rules

I've been hearing that all cars faster than 9.99 will need a diaper. I also heard that maybe swing outs going to be good to only 8.50 next year. There was some buzzing about no MS cages good past 8.50. I was wondering if anyone had any info to allow each other to prepare for next season. You guys ha...

Welome here. This site is great and I feel a little more hardcore than GDR. These guys are sharp and really helpful. Atco quik 8 is outrageous. I actually just put a J&E motor in my car. I wish you good luck except when you race my neighbor's "lil blue" Mustang. How far into the 6's yo...

I didn't end up doing the swap but did all the research a while back. I decided to keep my Malibu for now. I got the part # from a guy running them on his notch. I also verified it w/ AJE but they would only "imply" they work since Kooks or somebody had built a header for their kmember tha...

If you use the AJE crossmember the header you need is Flowtech part# 91830 for 1988-95 truck. They are 1 5/8 primaries and should fit your budget. Hope it helps. Maybe try them flipped if you like a little boost

The sky is looking cloudy but if it holds off I'll post some new results with the front sway bar removed. I was looking at some time slips and from 12.5 to 11.70 my 60ft only improved .028 seconds. I'm taking you guys advice and making 1 mod at a time.

Okay so if I got the car to 60ft 1.5 vs 1.7 (.2x.3=.6 gain) my 11.70 should beome a 11.10 theoretically but would the MPH also increase? I feel confident I can lose atleast 200lb. I still have full interior and bumbers. So theoretically my 11.10 becomes a 10.90 based off a tenth per 100lbs. I'm stil...

MPH vs. ET

If I take weight out of my car it will reduce my ET but will I see a MPH increase also? If you improve 60ft it will reduce ET but will it gain MPH? I have a car that has no tuning just about 10-12 trips down track. I originally had a mismathed conv that only allowed car to go12.5 at 106. I swapped c...

sc -shifting at 6200 I picked up 2 tenths and 3 mph. Good call!!!
I weigh 275 and that hurts. Do you think a 850 carb would help?

I agree that with such a terrible ride there should be alot in the suspension and weight loss. You think I have enough motor to get in the 10's ? I also have a th400 in the car. I have a good th350 just no brake. How much would I gain th350 vs. th400? How much of an improvement should I see from rem...

Well I put the 10'' tci converter in car and a borrowed demon 750 mech secondary. The bu went 11.95 at 115 shifting at 6700. I remembered sc racing's advice and tried 6200 and went 11.70 at 118mph w/ a 1.73 60ft. My issue with rear suspension was arb/tailpipe interference. Thank you all very much I ...

The rear was taken out of a friends car who needed money fast. I can eliminate the control arm attatchments as the culprit but I also noticed that the rear coil spring is touching the control arm bolt . I'm going to check that the ARB isn't getting hung up with the spring. ANY ideas on the converter...

I already have the ARB installed. I definetely appreciate the responses. I will try your suggestion Dave w/ the bathroom scale. I replaced rear, control arms, spherical bushings and rear springs all at 1 time. Before I had no troubles w/ 7.5 and stock set-up so I'm confident it can be resolved. I lo...
