chpcamaro, thanks so much for the needed info.if you had to say and in a ballpark figure, what kinda of horsepower gains would you say i might gain? would it be really noticeable , or just a kind of suttle gain?as it stands now, it leaves really hard on just a regular country asphalt road.

the vehicle is a 2001 ford ranger, it has 4:30 gears,c-4 tranny,it has 11.1 compression, dome top pistons.the intake is a edelbrock performer rpm.its got 2 1/2 inch pipe with flowmaster exhaust.i am running a holley 750 dp. i just put a 3000 stall. it probably will see the track just to see what it ...

aluminum heads

i have never owned a set of aluminum heads but going to go ahead and bite the the bullet now. any suggestions on how big i should go?this is just a weekend warrior vehicle with a mildly built 302.any advice would be apreciated.tia

this truck is mostly a weekend truck. i drive it to town when the wife and i go out to eat or just to play with the ricers. this truck has not been to the track one time. i would like to take it to just see what it runs.got me wondering if just a bigger tire would be my answer, maybe a m/t et drag s...

i have got a ford ranger , leaf spring, ford 9inch, 4.30 gears, c-4 tranny, stock shocks, the motor is putting out roughly 340 hp, and 358 ft.lbs torque.i am running hoosier quick time dot radials.they are 275x50x15. i put a holley double pumper and a 3000 stall. after that change, it just blows the...

thanks for the advice guys. yes it was the gauge and yes it was a jegs liquid filled gauge. i thought the first gauge was bad and bought another one just like it.well, it didnt work right either. i just put on a new , non-liquid filled and it works like a charm.jegs sells a lot of quality parts but ...

john, i have a new 750 double pumper with the pressure gauge about 6" from the banjo fitting. the fuel pressure reg. is about 3 from the pressure gauge.the gauge and reg. is mounted to the firewall directly above the back of the engine.

a couple of things i left out. i was using a return to the top of the fuel cell. i got the same results with or with out it.one more thing , i can set the reg. at 6lbs. and it will drop as the motor gets hot. i can go out the next morning and crank it and it will be around 13 or 14 lbs. i am about r...

my problem is with fuel presure. my fuel pressure is never consistent. i have tried 3 different pressure regulators and the same thing happens. i have tried 2 different pressure gauges and still the same thing. when i start the motor cold , it will read 14lbs. and as the motor warms up it will drop ...
