Look for a spare out of a early 80's caprice. They were dual bolt pattern 16".

Leave them as-is. Never seen a gasket for between the Dzus and paint. The ones I've removed have never scratched the paint, at least not what couldn't be polished out.

Take a thermostat and knock the guts out, then puts whats left back in. It'll more or less look like a little tin washer. This slows the water flow so that it can cool off properly in the rad. ;)
