Re: 5 point harness with no roll bar

That's excatly my thing too, Evil. My car is still a street car, but a few weekends a year I like to bracket race. The car runs 11.70s and I am getting older so I think of things like safety. I know a cage would be best but like you said, then its a race car.

Re: How to correct "Toe in" with front up?

No I didn't set the toe with the front end up. What does that do to the toe when it is at ride hight? make it toe out?

It's stock, but all rebuilt with rubber bushings. Oh and if it matters I have disk brakes off of a 72 chevelle.

How to correct "Toe in" with front up?

I'm sure this has been covered here before, but I can't find it. Anyway, my car (68 chevelle) toes in pretty bad when the font end is up going down the track. I have seen these kits you can buy that replaces the outer tierod end with a hiem and you can use spacers to make the hiem joint lower on the...

Re: 9 Inch ends on a 12 bolt

I checked them out on Toms dirrerentials .com That looks like what I need. Anyone know if the bearing will work on my current axles? And how do the seal? That's one of my biggest things.

9 Inch ends on a 12 bolt

Hey guys! I have a 12 bolt in my chevelle, with Strange C-clip eliminators, and a set of moser axles. I bought the Moser axles A few years ago, they have all the same dimensions as a stock 12 bolt axle, even the little nubs on the end for the factory C-clips. Anyway, i would like to get rid of the C...

Re: MSD 6al worth it?

Thanks for the link to tech west! I may have to go that route! But is there any gains to be had, going with an MSD? Have any of you guys installed an MSD and picked up any time??? I don't want to go through all the hassel of shiping and paying to have mine repaired only to gain nothing.

MSD 6al worth it?

Hey guys!!!!! After battling a bunch of stupid problems with my car this year. I have come to the conclusion that there is a problem with my MSD 6al box. To verify the problem we put in a "normal" style Pertronix HEI modual and unhooked the MSD. Now the car runs great! Had a very good week...

Plastic inner fender wells?

Hey guys!!! Thinking about loosing some weight (the car not me). My 68 chevelle has the stock steel front inner fender wells, but i know that some had factory plastic fender wells. I am assuming that the plastic ones must be lighter? I see Original parts group sells repoduction ones. I also know tha...

Chevelle steering box

Hey guys! The manual steering box in my chevelle is kind of loose. When I go straight down the road I can wiggle the wheel back and forth with out actually turning the car. So I loosend the jam nut and tightend the adjuster screw just a little (not quite a full turn). It seemed to tighten up the loo...

Re: Steel wheel vs. Aluminum wheel

I have always heard that lighter wheels SHOULD be faster, and in theory it makes sence. I have had lots of guys telling me "loose those heavy steel wheels, you'll pick up" . But I have had my doubts. I was taking with a friend a while back about these kind of small changes and we were wond...
