Issues with new trans
Well I have been busy with school and have been able to spend a little time here and there getting the new glide in. It's finally in with the new shifter etc. The glide is an Abruzzi manual valve body T-brake deal with an 8" 5,200rpm N20 verter. I put the truck in the air on the lift (tires 6&q...

Re: Trying to compare and apple with an orange..
Can't go to a taller tire as the unit will cause me to run out of gear.. As it is I might have a problem with that..

Trying to compare and apple with an orange..
I am going to be putting a glide in my truck mainly for consistancy reasons. Truck weighed 3,550 last time at the track and went 11.45@118.6 with a 1.59 60' Since that last outing I have swapped the motor and will be swaping the trans. It had a 347ci ls1 in it but now has a 418 ls based motor. Chass...

MPG difference from 100 hit to 300 hit..
Just curious of what could be expected. Obviously the there are diminishing returns more hp does always equate to the same gain in mph. But what could be expected with a larger shot assuming traction is not an issue. I went 11.456 @ 118.6 on motor With a 52n jet I went 10.73 @ 128.7 (NX 2 stage plat...

Re: First 10 second pass in the Farmtruck this weekend..
I think the guy in the left lane stole the attention of every camera on my 10 second run. On the protree I cut a .419 to his .667, but there was a spectacular nitrous backwire from his car which is really too bad (typically a low 9 second car). Luckily it only cost him $80 for some carb parts and th...

First 10 second pass in the Farmtruck this weekend..
Over the last few years, I have been chipping away at getting in the 10's and this last sat I finally sealed the deal. This is in a 63 Chevy pick up. Every time I go, it get's faster. Best 60' of the night was a 1.598 on motor before the track started going away. This time on motor it only went .12 ...

Reading E85 spark plugs.. Different from gas?
I like to read my plugs when I'm at the track. I am assuming you would read E85 plugs the same way you would with a gas plug, except for the cleanliness of the E85 plug? I would assume you could not read the E85 plug for rich/lean fuel conditions like you can a gas plug. So basically read for heat r...

Re: New best NA with the farm truck
If you get a chance to check out 67-72chevytrucks, please do. Familiar with Regan Wilson (Texas area I believe)? He was running a 469ci motor in his (69 I think) truck for a 10.90 index and going 149mph.. He is now building a 665ci motor to go back in the same truck. Another guy named Kevin with a 6...

Re: New best NA with the farm truck
John,
I believe he is a member of 67-72chevy trucks and see him in the section I moderate from tie to time (Racing and high performance).. There are some quick trucks on that site..

Re: Having problem with N20 wiring.
I could change it to this.. This is almost how NX says to do it.. Only changes is there is normally a push button between the Stage 2 switch and relay. Also the relays normally go to ground vs the window switch..

Re: Having problem with N20 wiring.
John, I don't think they are self grounding relays as they are in a plastic shell with the mounting tab/hole on the back top. They are the Relays that came with the NX kit. They do not have the normally closed 87a tab either. I will try putting power to both of the coil sides individually and see wh...
