Re: Shifter stands

Thanks man. It looks sweet. Do you know what thickness the bottom plate is? I just want to make sure it will be plenty strong.

Here's some pics of mine.

Hey Chris, I am thinking about copying your setup here. Did you use mild steel or aluminum? What gauge?

Re: Control Arm Bushing Replacement

One more question. This car sees very little street driving and someone told me when I have it aligned to adjust the toe in more than normal as it is recommended for drag racing as there is less friction on the track. How does everyone fell about that? I want to make sure I use the correct lingo as ...

Re: Control Arm Bushing Replacement

Got everything back in today. Now I got to get the alignment done. Project went pretty smooth and I am pleased with the way it looks. Are most of you leaving the control arm bolts somewhat loose to help weight transfer? Before the new bushings I had lock nuts on the bolts and not all the way tight. ...

Re: Autogage Tachs

I run an Autogage 5" with shift light and MSD 6AL and Pro Billet Distributor and some to think of it some times my tach has a little "flicker" in it where it appears to skip. I think I may need that adapter.

I have learned my lesson on this too. Bought a bullet a year or so ago and the thing was bent, that's right bent. To make it worse it was a family member. I will no longer buy used parts unless I am 100% certain about it.

Just regular from MOOG. I was told it really didn't matter a whole lot. What is your opinion? Also, where can you buy that tool?

Re: Control Arm Bushing Replacement

Got control arms off today and removed both upper ball joints as I am going to replace all the ball joints. Any one have any suggestions on removing the lower ball joints. Should I borrow a ball joint service tool kit? I guess it will make life easier.

Installed the new power unit today and works great, and what do you know, it doesn't appear to leak down either. Best part, they sent it to me free. It's amazing what happens if you just ask.
