Not disagreeing with the cam being too big,...but. What kind of fuel delivery system are you running? Give us the whole system from tank to carb please. Regulator(s)? Float settings in the carbs? Bending the push rods raises a few concerns. How are you doing with coil bind? What lash are you running...

I have a 73' camaro with a 383. I have a holley 750 dp carb jetted 74-87. I had the fuel pressure set at 9psi when the car ran its best time of 12.45@105.73 mph on a 45° night. I was running lower fuel pressure befor and had about the same jets but was about 3mph slower. Am I on the right track her...

Hate to kinda nit pick this,...and it isn't up to me to decide this,.... but shouldn't this thread actually be in the chassis tuning section? Can it be moved there?

Wellll,....I have to say that I think you ought to do these changes. I think you need to allow the front end to separate as far and fast as possible. Don't skimp on the shocks. This makes a huge difference on how the chassis will work. I think you need shocks on the rear that extend faster then the ...

What shocks and springs do you have in front and rear of your car? To me, it looks like your rear shocks, or springs, or both, are too stiff. jmo.

imo,... this cam is going to want to see the 7k-7.5krpm. More then likely would appreciate a stall of around 5500-6krpm.

I think that bolt is for truck applications. If I remember correctly they bolted their yokes into place if they used a carrier bearing in the drive shaft system.
Might do some research into that though to make sure my feeble memory serves me correctly...
