Re: Hey, are you guys still out there ????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bruce !!!! Did you break your old rearend ? You're putting it back on the street ? When did you have to take it off the street, and why ? Did you break things, radically upscale things, decide to accept a real challenge and install a blue oval drive train ? What gives ? laffin... Me, I'm still hamme...

Re: Hey, are you guys still out there ????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats what I'm saying, I'm trying to get back into racing, and might have some questions to ask, and it's better to go here then try to spend hours researching on the internet. IDK, man There are some pretty experienced folks hanging out here and a lot of good tech info in the post history. What so...

Re: Hey, are you guys still out there ????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first experience with Dart Big-M blocks. The whole priority main oiling thing was new to me, as was the need to tweak top end oil flow volumes. I'm running Isky Ezy-X solid bush rollers and .120 thick wall pushrods, feeding T&D rockers. In priming the motor on the stand I discovered there...

Re: Hey, are you guys still out there ????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been on the track in a long time. I'm hoping to get the Camaro back on the street soon and chasing the stripe shortly after that. I'll need to do it the right way - this is my first EFI build and it's pretty obnoxious - it'll take time to get the tune dialed in. Should be pushing something...

Hey, are you guys still out there ????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody recently posted a reply to a thread I was following here and I got an email notification on it. That's the first I've seen from DragStuff in a long long time. Are you guys still hanging out here ? I've been busy building new stuff but have been focused on Facebook with the various performan...

Re: C-clip eliminators and 30 spline axles

bruce, I'd pull the rear end and replace the housing tube ends with ford or olds bearing housing ends. That way you can replace the c-clip setup and go with stouter aftermarket axles. It's not cheap, but it is good insurance. I can provide you with the design drawings I did when I did that for mine....

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose

I ran the conventional MSD Blaster 2 cannister coil for quite a while before jumping over the the solid state MSD Blaster SS coil. When using that conventional coil design you have to make sure you don't install it laying down - it needs to be standing up, vertically. I found that I would develop a ...

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose

What coil are you running, and, what's your comp ratio ? I run my plugs at .030 - pretty tight but then my dynamic compression under boost is pretty ugly.

Also, check how hot/cold your plugs are and see what others are running for your build.

Just some thoughts...

Of course if you lived in Sacramento, you could be busy planning your runs during the annual New Years Day Drag Race Event at Sacramento Raceway. If you lived in Sacramento.

Yeah, I didn't mention the Chevelle guys. I figured they'd be upset being listed in line *after* the Mopar crowd so I just left them out altogether. You know me, always kind to the less fortunate. 8-) :smt002 :smt003 :thumb:

Re: You and your ride... Post it here get to know everyone...

Charlie, you have to know there is a long running (and humorous) battle between the Blue Oval, Bowtie and Mopar guys here on the forum. Bruce and I, being Camaro owners, are far superior to the Nova guys in the Bowtie group, but all of us Bowtie guys are far superior to the gaggle of Blue Oval guys ...
