Re: Questions, Questions, and More Questions

thanks for the reply. right now I am working 2 jobs and trying to wrap one car up. I was dealing with a big speed shop and they don't kind of answer questions. Would rather you just pay them. moving on to a smaller shop that seems way better.

I see guys running turbo setups, and see them at shows spending a ton of cash on an engine, and then the turbo. Why do most people keep the cub...

Re: LQ9 Engine Swap with Factory EFI and MSD Three Step

I will look. It's a PSI harness, looks good. There is a tach output. So I may just need to hook that in. Is there a way to test it then? Thank you LQ9 with a .600 lift can, headers, factory truck intake with a powerglide, Abruzzi 3500 to 4000 stall and 4.88 9". Can't wait to get it running.

Converting to LS7

OK,taking the plunge. I am swapping the LS6 pistons out and the LS7 in. Also, moving over to an Hbeam rod, ARP bolts, I was going to have the GM990 heads ported / polished, but the person that does that is going to swap my heads plus some cash for a set of Merlin heads. Bigger Valves and those are p...

Then I buy this fancy LED sound test light, hook it up to show my wife I fixed it and it comes on and beeps. I pulled all the fuses. Still beeps. Pulled all the wires from junction and di...

Re: Getting Tow Truck Ready and have a Short

It is a 1994 C1500 Silverado. It's the 5.7/4l60e with 3.42 rear end. When my dad had the truck, he had a brake controller installed, and I have pulled the trailer, the brake controller works. It has had a short in it when he had it. He never services or fixes anything, it goes about three days and i...

Re: E-85 Pros and Cons

I am interested too, I just ran into a couple guys running a 440 CI SBC and a 437 CI SBC claiming they run 9.20's and 9.40's both in mustangs. They both run E85. Both guys said the compression was over 13 to 1, so I am looking at putting my 12.5 to one pistons in my car and converting. I know I need...

Re: Brake issues on a truck

So got frustrated and took the truck to a shop. Multiple issues. First, ABS to the RWAL needed bled out/reset, so by driving this reset it. There was still a bit of air in the rear lines, We bled the brakes over and over. Last, the rear drums where way out of adjustment. Causing the pedal to go to t...
