Re: Mufflers for my car
I just put some dyno max bullets on my car. Class started requiring mufflers. They are 3.5" in and out , round and not bulky at all, my car slowed down about 3 hundreths is all. They knock the edge off the open headers thats for sure. Kinda have a the mix sound of a glass pack and flowmaster a...

Re: Crankshaft Thrust problems ?
With a hammer, lol , really I bump the front of the crank with a soft hammer to center the cap then I use a feeler gauge to hold the cap back while I torque it down.

Crankshaft Thrust problems ?
Ok, I need a little help. I assembled my motor at the begining of the year , when I was building it the crankshaft would turn freely until the rear main was tightened down ( thrust). The block was freshly lined bored , it has a scat 4340 crank 3.75 stoke. I checked the thrust with the rear cap off a...

Re: Blowing thru converter?
Pulling just a few degress or timing will actually gain torque. But you will loose mph. I would think your converter is probally ok, when you blow threw your converter you suffer on the big end. The changes you made in my opinion was kinda drastic and too much at once. I would suggest advancing timm...

Re: Stock Type Suspension Launch Question
Leave on TB @ 4800 , 1.47 60' every time. We race on a pro tree and dont have time to wait for the converter to catch the motor. We need to move when the button is released. lol Have played around with leaving different ways and the closer we get to the converter's stall speed the quicker we get on ...

Re: Driveshafts
I bought my driveshaft from southwest speed on ebay , called them up and asked if there shaft would work in my application , and they said absolutley. I figure they know more about it than i do. Shaft has worked great for almost a year now, takes a hit from a trans brake every pass. So just call the...

I would be willing to guess that the cam is walking. What kind of front timing chain cover do you have ?
