Re: Control Arm Bushing Replacement
I'm using the crimped lock nuts whatever you call them. I snug them down as evenly as possible, allowing the control arm to fall under its own weight.

Re: anyone tried PROFORM carb
My son is using an proform 850 carb, works fine, no issues. He's run a best of 11.13 n/a and 10.11 on NOS, just a little .030 over 454.

Re: electric vacuum pump
I know Dwight has issues with a rear main leaking on occasion, when the vacuum pump was working, no more leaks.

Re: Transbrake vs Non Transbrake ?
I'd put my footbraked ATI converter up against any transbraked car for consistency Footbraking also isnt near as hard on the driveline.

Re: Wilwood or ???
The car actually stops pretty good, pedal is pretty firm. I'm just looking to dress the engine compartment up a bit, maybe lose a little weight I just want a nice replacement master cylinder.

Moparious Maximus wrote:When dealing with master cylinders, its nice to know your pedal ratio, it can make a big differance.
The pedal has two holes so the rod can be moved up or down. One for power brakes and the other for manual brakes, but I'm not sure what the ratio is.

Did you have to get any adapter fittings for the brake lines to the m/c? My pushrod is adjustable.

Re: Wilwood or ???
I am more than happy with the Wilwood brakes, just looking to upgrade the master cylinder. 3700lbs is almost too heavy to try and slow down at Mokan
