Cage welding question need to know ASAP

I know that C.M. is supposed to be welded with a tig welder. Here is the question I have a chance to buy a car that has a 10 point C.M. cage but it has been mig welded if I grind out most (almost all) of the mig welding and get someone to tig it for me would it pass cert.? Thanks, David

control arm angle HELP!!!!

I am wanting to raise the back of the rear upper control arms. Does the mounting hole on the rearend have to be rasied to raise the control arm or will this mess up the geomertry? Could plates be welded on the uca and rebore the mounting hole? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Upper control arms on a malibu

The nohop bars will not work on 8.8. I was wanting to know if I could relocate the mounting hole on the uca by welding plates on both sides and reboring it 2" lower or would that mess up the geomrtry? If so I would have to move the mounting point on the rearend?
