Re: Master cylinder question

Hi guys, don't want to start a new thread so I'm bringing this one back up. I have adapted the dodge mc to work in the nova. My question is, it comes with a new rod but the stock rod seems fine. I know what kind of havoc the wrong rod can cause, so I'm looking for knowledge on how to determine the ...

Re: Converter Recommendation

Do NOT try to use that converter with a trans brake! That converter was not intended for a trans brake and you will brake it , that would make B&M look bad when it was not their fault as that converter is NOT designed to take the abuse a trans brake will put on it. The motor should make peak HP...

Re: Master cylinder question

Ok thanks for the input. Is there any difference between the 120 dollar Hurst roll control and the 65 dollar Summit brand that looks identical?

Re: Master cylinder question

Just to through in my .02, but like SC said, I ran all new 3/16", and at the rear I then ran a section of #3 braided line to a "T" on the rear and then some more braided #3 to each wheel cylinder. A lot easier to do this then mess with making steel lines. I also ran small sections of...

Re: Master cylinder question

Digging up this old thread instead of starting a new one. Finally got around to the brakes on my 69 Nova and I have a question about the stock rear brake line. It appears to be larger than 3/16 and I was wondering if anyone knew what fitting is needed to adapt the stock rear line to the Chrysler M/C...

Re: Master cylinder question

Most get rid of the OEM prop/distribution valve body and use a wilwood, or other brand adjustable prop valve in the line to the FRONT brakes. You just use a brass T block to split the line up front, or you could use a AN style "T" if you're wanting to use AN style fittings. The reason you...

Re: Master cylinder question

FYI the pn changed at oriellys on that master cylinder. It is now mc98895 Is this the correct MS to use with a disk front and rear combo? Thanks. When using one of these master cylinders do you still use the stock proportioning valve? If you get rid of the stock proportioning valve what do you use ...

Hey Todd, Looks like you found yourself a nice car, it's not a Camaro, but it will do, right Harry... :smt005 :smt005 Please tell me those "big" meats in the garage are for the Nova? What do you plan to do with the car? Hey John , it's cool to be jealous ;) Bruce The meats are cool, but I...

Re: You and your ride... Post it here get to know everyone..

All right.. Score another one for the Nova's! Those dang Camaro's were starting to get a foot hold here lately. Welcome to the site Todd.. PS - Why a Dana 60 and not a 9"? Those are quite a bit heavier... Thanks for the welcome! The Dana appeals to me for the following reasons. 1. Very strong ...
