How often do you remove the sliders and clean them, re-lube them?
Also what do you use to lube them or how often?
Thanks,

Rear shock setting on a leaf spring nova
I seem to be having trouble getting my car to hook. My shocks are the strange 10 way single adjustable. I have them on about 7 clicks tight. I noticed from a pic that my son took that the body doesn't appear to be separating. I footbrake the car my question is should the shocks be tight or loose to ...

Re: Launch advice please
Is that the M/T 28 10.5 S rear tire? I think you could play with air pressure maybe go up 1lb at a time until it spins then back it up. That may give you the quickest et. So I've been told but I run a 30x9 radial slick on my car. I think leaving at a lower rpm hits the convertor harder may be why it...

Re: Leaf spring rear suspensions?, tips-tricks?, 60' times??
What should the rake be? For example if I'm running a 30" tall rear radial slick what size front runner should I use? Or does it matter. Right now I have a 24" on and I'm redlighting.

Re: Leaf spring rear suspensions?, tips-tricks?, 60' times??
I left at 3200 rpms on the footbrake and shifted at 6700. That shift was about half track. Motor spins easily to 7000. I feel like I should be shifting sooner. When I crossed the traps it was just starting to breathe good. I crossed the traps somewhere between 5700 and 6000. It was my first pass in ...

Re: Leaf spring rear suspensions?, tips-tricks?, 60' times??
60' - 1.5233 330' - 4.2382 660' - 6.565 MPH - 104.94 It was haulin but just getting started. I crossed the traps at somewhere between 5800 and 6000 rpms. This motor needs to turn harder. More like 7000 or 7200 to be safe. But with a bracket car I wouldn't have to worry about slipping the tires with ...

Re: Leaf spring rear suspensions?, tips-tricks?, 60' times??
Thanks, I have put together a high winding small block Nova with 3.89 gears and a powerglide. First time running it tonight and everyone tells me I need a 4.86 or a 5.13 and they could be right. It is naturally aspirated leafspring car with 10.5 slicks. The man I bought the motor from had it in a op...

Re: Tranny Cooler Mounting
Most guys around here that run in the 1/8th mile don't even use one they just loop the trans cooler line. They say it doesn't even run long enough or far enough to need one. Street car definitely needs one.
