Re: glide vs. 3 speed

I ran a glide in my Mustang in the NMCA Pro Stock class and had very good luck with it. I raced against other BB guys that ran the Pro-Flite and I could out 60 and 330ft them. If they were faster it was me being down a few ponies but I had a $3500 PTC trans against there $7500 unit so I feel that ot...

Re: Digital Readout for Tube Benders

This is very cool. Couple this with the Bend Tech software and it's almost like having a CNC bender.

Re: BMF heads?

On the other 2 525's in the class they had nearly 100lbs more seat pressure than I did(440@2.200 to 350@2.100)maybe that helped reduce the chance of failure but I m pretty sure those other 2 had no valvetrain related failures either and they came from the shop so other than my spring pkg I'm pretty ...

Re: BMF heads?

The best thing you can do to help the weakness of the BMF 385/405 is to run the T&D shaft rocker system with the 1 piece intake stand. This distributes the load over the whole head. I 2nd what Todd says. I had 45+ passes on my 525 shifting between 91-9300 and a trap RPM between 92-9350 RPM with...

Re: Racing buckets

I have Kirkeys in my car and I have one on my race simulator. I spend 2-3hrs at a time in that thing racing online and it never bothers me.

I've been trying to get him to get a Mustang, it's probably the easiest thing to get down to the weight he can run. He asked me to keep an eye out for a nice roller, I think we will all be in some heat if he does that.

If your like most successful racers a few hundreths are real hard to come by. All you guys have come to a point where a couple of hundreths is all that seperates the winners from the loosers. Your telling me. I just ordered a $4250.00 low drag center section from Dewco. He supplies most of the NHRA...

I know of Mike Duffy, good friend of mine is a police officer in Oklahoma City and has Mike do work on his car. As for any comparisons to the guys car in the video is he's running an adder, totally different deal there. Running NA you have what you have and it's a very fine line between not enough a...

hsutton, Thanks. The rules will allow ladder bars and coil overs which is what I run. As for the wheelies, sometimes they just creep up on you without warning. I can usually catch it pretty quick by blipping the throttle a few times but I had about 3-4 runs this year that it just didn't want to come...

Thanks Ed. Extreme Street is a great class. I think I'd probably went that direction but I couldn't do the engine and update the chassis. Sorta wishing I had but Pro Stock is fun. Good Luck
