Re: TKO 600 Race Use?
Thanks for the kind words, it wasn't easy getting where I'm at now. I had my share of probs, ck out this thread from 2006 http://www.dragstuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=715 Right now your ET (7.4) is pretty close to what it should be to your 93 MPH, within a 1/10. So unless you are breaking ...

Re: TKO 600 Race Use?
Do you think leaving at 6500 will be a problem and do they shift ok at 6500-6800rpm? Leaving at 6500 rpm, without breaking things, will depend on your clutch tune and weather it dead hooks. What/whos clutch are you using? Will the Liberty TKO be a face plate style trans? They will shift fine at 680...

Re: Finally going back together
Hey Bill, what sort of battery are you using ? The battery in my Camaro is pretty old and I had to jump it to get it going this time - it may be time to replace it. I was considering one of the gel batteries but I don't know anything about them. As a retired retail automotive store manager for 25 y...

Re: Finally going back together
Harry, all sounds good except the part about the oil and fuel leak.
What do you have the timing locked at?
And do you then retard with boost?
Super Chevy show next weekend, are you coming down to So Cal?

Re: 8 Second Street Car - Stock Suspension. Huh ?
Agree with "butt load of nitrous" but the 1st thing I notice is his MPH is way fast for his ET.wikd69 wrote:tell me how this guy is putting his street car deep into the 8's...
1320 / 168.5 mph = a 7.83 et , so he is very carefully pouring on the N2O.

Re: Blower Dynamics - Boost and Static / Dynamic Compression
Not sure how you (Bill) came up with 11.41 lbs of boost with my old cam @ 10 lbs, but I got a much lower number. I think you used a different Int Closing value. Harry, your using the wrong intake closing number for your current cam, the calculator needs the @ .050" of lift closing number, 52*....
