Re: ngk heat range on 150 shot

According to most nos kit manufacturers, they recommend to step down at least 1 heat range for a 100 - 150 shot and 2 heat ranges over 150 shot.
I was running NGK R5673-7 on my 150 shot.

Re: Wiring for 75 nova ss

I gutted all of my factory wiring from my car, then ran all new wiring for just the components that I needed, through my own switch panel and fuse block. Just don't through out the factory harness, if it's in decent shape. I made the mistake of doing that and now I decided I want to run my car on th...

Re: Small tire vs Big tire

My car has a ladder bar suspension and I run a 32 x 14 on 15 x 14 rims.
One word of advice, don't do like I did and NOT stretch the quarters.
Open them up, make your life easier.

Re: 68 Camaro Master cut off switch

Here is how I did mine and I used a punch to make the switch opening, which I think was around 1" or a bit larger.
I have also used a unibit.

Re: C-clip eliminators and 30 spline axles

According to what Strange publishes, their SS axle, 30 spline is only good for up to 450HP.
For the HP you listed, I'd go with 35 spline.

As for the "C" clips, I'm not sure, I use a 9" Ford.

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose

I'm running the 6AL w/ Blaster 2 coil right now. I got a good deal on a 7AL2 and will use the Pro Coil. Compression is 13.7:1 and I reset the gap to 30. Here is a quote from a guy at MSD and it contradicts what they state in their manuals. "But if it’s a race engine with compression ratios of 13 or ...

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose

I took the carb apart and found nothing, it was all clean. Fired it back up after changing the oil/filter and it still had a miss. Did some reading on MSD's site and changed the plug gap from 40 to 35 and fired it up. Sounded a little better but still had that same miss. Well it looks like I may hav...
