Re: street bbc running hot

I tried an electric water pump on a street driven 454 and it would not move enough water to keep it cool ! Put the belt driven moroso alum pump back on an it runs 180 all day ! That is prob why temp is OK when u let it idle for 10 min !

Re: 12 bolt

It was welded around the tube already ! Can it be rewelded and hold ? It has a alum diff cover to support the caps that has a brace kit that can be attached ! I am going to get the brace kit for it if I stay with the 12 bolt !

12 bolt

My 12 bolt broke the right tube loose from the center section ! Some say it can be fixed and some say it can not be fixed ! Is it worth the trouble to fix or should I just get a new one ??

Brake master cyl

My neighbor has a 79 camaro and wants to remove booster & change power master cyl to manual ! Does anyone know what parts he will need ? He wants to go as light as possible but not use aftermarket racing parts !

Re: At the finish line, what do you do

I run a glide and was told by ATI not to put it in neutral that it could cause the trans problems ! I just leave it in drive and throw the laundry and use the brakes ! I don't think neutral would have any better slow down effect that just leaving off the gas - at least on my car !!

Re: Good Deal?

Pro line trailers has new 7000 lb trailers with finished walls on sale for $3700-$3900 range all the time. You might want to check them out. That way you can compare the 7k axels with the 10k etc. They can also finance for you if you do not have all the cash needed. :D

Re: Haven't been around much this summer...

Do they sell E-85 there ?? You could do as Hitch said with that and still cruise the streets. The higher comp will work fine. The new dig. boxes can be tuned easily for higher comp motors. The O rings will be a big help and alcohol and blowers love each other :thumb: It is hard to get a gas blower t...

Re: Haven't been around much this summer...

Not sure how a 434 sbc works with a blower but if you are only wanting looks you will be fine. If you are going to push it I would find a 350 and put the blower on it. The reason I think this is I had a sbc before and it was OK with the head gaskets as long as it did not get alot of boost. I got tir...
