Re: I have leaf springs...shouldn't I have body seperation?
I think clutchdude might have said the words just right.
Give it some more power.
IMO, there is nothing wrong with leaf springs as long as you have a good bar setup.
Another thing, the more sidewall wrinkle you get the more separation you will see, just because the tires get shorter.

Re: lexan windshields
We run one, its 1/4 thick, still saved a bunch of weight.
Don't use harsh chemicals to clean it or anything abrasive, its been in the car 9 years and its still clear as glass.
Self tapping screws and factory trim.

Re: Scrub Angle issues.. crazy front wheel vibration
Not sure if its relavent since we run a straight axle, we found a good steering dampener will help out alot. We had problems in the past with front end shake during braking and usually below 40 mph. It would also do it when the front wheels landed after a launch, one time my arms hurt for days is sh...

Re: Alcohol versus Gas
I think I am going to be running my sbc on alcohol this season and was wondering what the smallist size radiator you guys have run safely? We run our small block dry, no water. The big blower motor is a dry block but I circulate water through the heads to help spread the heat out, no radiator. I do...

Re: experiences 4link setup slippery tracks?
here is my problem, if I use the original SC setup with about 50% anti-squat, I can leave on the tbrake at 5000rpm and no wheelspin but car leaves like a turd with low 1.60 60' times. It doesn't give you the feel of a launch at all! Blower suspensions are tricky on good tracks sometimes, I cant eve...

Re: Solid Roller Warm Up
Just my own personal thought, dont let it idle alot when its cold, the lifters dont get the oil they need, just bring the rpm up a little like 2000 or so, get that oil moving and splashing around.
My opinion only, not sure what its worth.

I have a Cheasapeak Bay Retriever, theres three things that dog loves, (1) Water (2) Rubber balls and (3) Goin to the races, except for jet cars, he hates damn jet cars.
And he likes beating the shit out of my old slicks.

I think you hit it on the head, with (The customer doesnt know what he's getting.) line. We thought we bought at least a respectable name and quality piece, I think it cost around $800, maybe that dont get much of a converter. I dont have a problem spending money to buy the best parts, but I do have...

Sprag Failure... Converter...?
I just have a simple question about sprags in converters. I have never hurt one myself, and Im not exactly nice to my stuff, and right now we are 3200 lbs and run 8.00s-8.2s in the 1/4, blown alky, pretty fast to my standards. Now our other car is a front engine dragster with a SBC that weighs half ...
