IMO, there is nothing wrong with leaf springs as long as you have a good bar setup.

Another thing, the more sidewall wrinkle you get the more separation you will see, just because the tires get shorter.

We run one, its 1/4 thick, still saved a bunch of weight.

Just my own personal thought, dont let it idle alot when its cold, the lifters dont get the oil they need, just bring the rpm up a little like 2000 or so, get that oil moving and splashing around.
