Re: Stretched wheel wells
Put them on deflated. Once they're on the axle, inflate them. My 68 Dart has a stock wheel well opening and that's how I got a 29" tire on it. You may have to trim the bottom edges a bit though for a 32" slick. Maybe try finding some pics of Super Stock 69 Camaro's and look at their wheel ...

Re: What do you guys think this car should run?
Nice trout, lol.
OK, it ran 11.95 @ 117 with a 1.88 60'. I had 13 psi in the tires and it still spun. But since it was opening day I'm sure the 60' will improve. If not the QTP's will help, lol.

What do you guys think this car should run?
Our track opened this weekend and I got to take my Firebird out for the first time. It still needs tuning, but I'd like to hear some guesses as to what it "should" run before I tell you what it ran. This is a back up car and I know this isn't an "ideal" set up....... 84 Firebird,...

Re: Taking a paint poll....
If I owned your car my friends would tell you the paint and body is "done" lol. I honestly couldn't tell you what color to paint it cause I'd rock it just like it is. I love beat up looking muscle cars and I've had plenty of Scratch N Dent specials.supernova wrote:Alright everybody, What color?

Re: Control Arm Bushing Replacement
Not 100% sure on toe, but I think you want it at or very close to zero for racing. Some other things I was told to do were.... 1)ad caster to help the car go/stay straight 2)sit in the car during the alignment so it can be done with your body weight on the chassis 3)do the alignment with the car rai...

Re: I got screwed.
Are you talking about having a hard time waiting for the motor to get rebuilt? No worries. You always have to have a back up motor. I have a 468 going in now until the winter time, I can have it rebuilt. No, I meant I have a hard time waiting for karma to do it's thing, lol. But that's good that yo...

VERY cool ride! My friend has a 78 that we put my 427 in. I love the M/T rims too. I can't give my Nova away around here(NY). At least you got something you can use in trade for yours, lol.

Thanks for the input I don't mind cutting the sway bar mount since this isn't a street car. At least not yet, lol.

3rd gen F-body steering question
I've got an 84 Firebird that I want to convert to manual steering. I know an S10 box will work, but what about the pitman arm? If it's different, will the pitman arm from the power box fit the manual box? Someone told me that F-bodies have the same steering linkage as the S10. But I can't find any p...

Re: nova parts
Don't buy aftermarket eyebrow trim. You'll have a gap between the trim and the fender. For $6,000 I'll sell you everything you need AND the Nova, lol. By any chance you got any pictures that show how the aftermarket eyebrow trim looks on the car? Just curious how bad it is? I would like to see also...
