Congratulations on having your head screwed on straight. There are very few of your type left.
Family first, the rest is just fun and games.

Re: Wheels up pics

You're right Ray - the right side is on the ground but the left isn't high enough to break the beams. Light stayed green too. Notice also there is no twist at the rear of the chassis thanks to the anti roll bar

Re: Another Try....

Ray - I just figure the fewer things Bruce has to do the better off we all will be. Line lock button on the shifter, do the burnout. Then move your hand to a button on the steering wheel to activate the trans brake. No switches to throw has to make it simpler for Bruce.

Re: Another Try....

Ray, make sure he puts a 2-step on it and connects the low side to the transbrake switch only. Then you can launch that baby at full throttle and let that dog eat!! HOWEVER I'd run the nitrous switch through the trans release too so the nitrous doesn't come on while the car it a full throttle on the...

Re: 4 link, driveshaft angle confusion

OK - now I'm with you. Forget that it once had a ladder bar frame in it. That's a true 4-link with equal length bars, it's just that the 4-link front brackets are mounted to the crossmember instead of to the frame rail. Sounds like the trans and pinion angle are ok. The limiting factor for now will ...

RPM questions

Hey Randy, I haven't had a chance to call but I have a couple questions. 1. Recently my EGT has either failed or is about to. I'm only getting readings under 50 degrees. The probe is in the same location and depth. Any ideas? 2. I have added a FAST O2 meter and it has a wire to connect to a data log...

Re: 4 link, driveshaft angle confusion

I'm still having problems visualizing a 4-link rear suspension on a ladder bar frame? Pinion angle on a 4-link is not nearly as important with as it was when early drag cars were using leaf springs and a pinion snubber. point the pinion at the rear of the trans and you're done.
