In my experience and opinion a 140 amp alt is more then enough. The alt should put out 14 VDC with a fully charged battery. Make sure the battery is actually good, charge it then check the volts. One thing you should be sure of it the difference of the voltage reading from the alternator output connection to the voltage reading at the battery. Should be less then .5vdc or the closer the better. The Power Master website has great info regarding this.
I thought it was odd the pressure did not change...that was a long time ago and not anything to back it up. I had the pressure checked after a burnout 1 time and there was no change. This was with a bias slick and tube. Even with the drag radials I have now the only thing that seems to drive up pressure is direct sunlight.

Kicking around freshening the bottom end (12yrs old) and a cam swap this summer. I really need the car to go 11.40's in the heat to run the 11.50 index and have a chance. Right now it's close to a 50 but would rather have more in the bank.
