Re: bbc 2 bolt to 4 bolt caps?
Save your money and don't convert you stock block 2 bolt to a 4 bolt.. I am the member that John Heard was talking about. I have been spraying my 496 for 7+ years with no major issues. Been putting 350+ to it and it does have some main cap walk, but it is not to the point of hurting the bearings at ...

I'm sitting here trying to figure out why I mentioned a k member when I knew they had a subframe....
Thanks, I'll pass on the info.
No problem, I have done the same thing.

Re: 70 Nova K-Member
The 68-72 Nova's don't have a k member, they have a sub frame. Smith Racecraft makes the nicest one of any one IMO. Very high quality stuff and you can lose 150lbs off the front. Here is link to this website. http://smithracecraft.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&p...

Re: Lean Spike Coming up on the Brake
I always bring mine up to 2000 rpm's before setting the trans brake. Makes sure the carb don't stumble and the trans has some pressure before setting the brake which holds the car better. But I don't have 02 to see all the fancy stuff .

Re: MY FIRST MAKO WIN OF THE SEASON!
Yea the guy in the other lane was Roger and he said his carb fluttered when coming up on the t-brake. I think you heard him pedal his car because I didn't pedal mine. I had to be on my game because roger is fast and had been deep in the 5.40s earlier that day. Therefore I knew I had to be ...

MY FIRST MAKO WIN OF THE SEASON!
I just wanted to share with my fellow dragstuff guys that I won the Mako B class over the weekend. The car was on a mission and I worked hard to get this one. I had 3 or 4 passes out of 7 that the car 60ft on the rear tires. It definitely made me drive it! Also got my new person best pass of a 5.49@...

Type f in my keith Neil powerglide. That's what he told me to run... Because he said if you not spending the big money for the redline or ams oil then type f is the way to go..

Thanks everyone!! Glad you all enjoyed it! It was one hell of a ride!
I feel that i gained about a tenth in the eight mile by adding the vacuum pump. I had some pretty good blow by and was getting oil on the plug and it fixed that problem!
