I traded my NOVA last weekend for a more of a street cruiser that I can race and still run a 10 second 1/4 mile.
Here it is, I have some cleaning to do and a cam change to make but it will be fun

Sounds good Supernova, I'm painting mine 2010 Mazda 6 Gun Metal Metalic Gray, with Silver Metalic 69' Yenko stripes, and my frt and rear bumpers also painted the same Silver Metalic.

Re: Nova Mini Tub / Leaf Spring Relocation Q???
Your memory is correct, the "John-Tracs" are made different, the plates are on the outside, not like the original cal-tracs that are on the inside of the spring pocket. Looking at your frame connectors compared to mine, yours look to me like they are setting a little lower (away from the ...

Re: Nova Mini Tub / Leaf Spring Relocation Q???
Hey Phil... It's just Cal-Vert's lightest spring & 1" drop block, sliders and upper hole in the front - you already got the same mounts and stuff. With it that low it won't hit the tire as hard, lowers the IC point basically... Lower center of gravity and all that. I don't know that it's t...

Re: Nova Mini Tub / Leaf Spring Relocation Q???
My new 408 is giving my old 9 inch Quick Time Pros fits, 60 ft times are not so good. So for my next project I'm gonna mini tub the rear and move the leaf springs inboard like that described on John's Nova (Old Blue) in this post --> ( leaf spring relocation kit ). I had a few questions after readi...

Re: 565 versus 582
I have a buddy that runs Nostalgia Pro Street in the NMCA he had a 632 and the best he run with it was 7.50, he built a 528 and got a little weight break and just won the World Series and 66 last weekend and set a new NPS record with a 7.36 right off the trailer. So I guess I say all that to say Joh...
