Re: effects of lowering car?
the shop that back halved the car did a good job I suppose, I havent touched the suspension. I did read earlier that a anti-roll has absolutly no effect on a ladder bar car so I guess I spent the money for no reason. Is there a suspension guide for dummys availible? I have no clue on how to pl...

effects of lowering car?
my nova has ladderbars, cheap coilovers and cheap 90/10 shocks up front. The front is loose as a goose to help transfer weight. Right now I havent touched the suspension in 2 years (since back halving the car). It hooks good with a 1.30 60 ft and goes straight. Question is... What kind of adjustment...

Re: Rear End
Intrested in a narrowed 12 bolt? I have a narrowed gm housing, with 411 gears and a spool complete with coil over shocks and brakes for about $1000.00. WE pulled it out of a nova to use a 4 link. Its all still connected to partial frame rails.

Re: Kinda brainstorming...
slightly off topic question...
On a race car using a transbrake or 2-step, How would you benefit from locked out timing?
With light springs the timing would be in around 1500 rpms. Ive ran mine both ways and cant tell any difference.

Re: Kinda brainstorming...
by the way, we have broken 2 flywheels when the motor kicks back. I took my dist. apart and put the flyweights and lightest springs back in untill I can get a start retard. On the transbrake my timing will already all be in.

Re: timing control 15*
I ran into the problem of hard starting. With my msd digital multi retard box with a start retard, The start retard only works with a distributer that is not locked. Most are this way from msd. They make a stand alone start retard for locked out distributers for about $175.00. not sure if I helped.....

Re: howards cam/lifters? weird valve lash problem
I spoke with Howards and they are scratching their heads also. The car is in the pain shop so I cant get my hands on it for another week or so. I readjusted the valves and loaded it onto the trailor to take to paint. Before I got it off the trailor I dropped a cylinder. Si when its back home I will ...
