Re: Need Help selecting a cam for sb2.2 heads
Those heads are going to make more power on accident than any afr head can. There are some sharp people with those heads, like MBE, patersons, RFD, schmidt..ect do some reserch and call them. should make 800+ hp, but getting a 1000 is going to take an all out build and it doesnt sound like thats wha...

Any difference?
I have been having inconsistant 60' all year long. For the last race of the year this weekend, I put some 29.5x10.5ws on the car instead of the normal 28x10.5w's What do you think the difference will be? Previous bests are 60' 1.31 and 9.81 @ 138 in the 1/4 or is the taller tire going to slow it down?

Re: drag slick life expectancy??
I have noticed that with my mid-high 9 second combo, 3200lbs on a 28x10.5w tire after 40 +/- runs 60's go from 1.32 to 1.36 or so and after 80 runs it goes to the mid 1.4's. There is still a lot of tread left, but the side walls are shot.

Got a new tow rig today!!!
I picked up an 04 GMC 2500 D-MAX with 70k miles. Its a extended cab long box with the SLT package (leather, heated seat, premium sound ect). I am really excited, It the first new rig Ive bought for myself and has to be a ton better tow rig than my 22' 1986 motorhome that got an awsome 5 mpg. We sign...

Headers???!!!!!!
I have convinced myself that I am killing a ton of power with my current Hooker 2"x3.5" collector headers. The motor is a 555" BBC in a 3200 lbs nova with a stock front end, also I will be playing with around a 200 shot next year, so 1000hp +/- total. What do you guys think, are they ...

Re: What Shocks ??????
Im running the Strange DA shock, for the money I think there are nice, but I havent had a chance to get them tuned in yet. I was impressed with the quality. I like the fact that the AFCO's can be mounted upside down to get rid of more unsprung weight. I also wish I could afford the santhuff stuff.

Re: SBC Heads
I know Craig the little cheif heads cost more than my whole engine....lol
Re: SBC Heads
The SB2.2 heads require a specific block. Not at all. You can use the same lifters an 18˚ engine uses, a single offset. The 447 we put together 3 years ago now in my brothers car has a standard inline lifter setup. It does require different pistons and a different cam as the intake and exhaust swap...
