The SB2.2 heads require a specific block. I'm not sure if you have looked into that. I seems like the RFD 15*s or the RFD 18*are a killer head http://www.raceflowdevelopment.com/RFD- ... onster.htm.
There are a lot of fast guys running the CFE heads as well, but $$$$$.

I know they are boreing, but how about a glide with a gear venders overdrive? I have a GV behind a t400 in our 55 chevy streeter and love it. For more of a race car that sees the streets......opps just rad that you bought a trans from Hutch...I have heard good things about him. Good luck.

Re: Got a 75lb mother bottle today
Im not out there trying to set records, just trying to run a 5.90 in the 1/8th in 8000' air so any decent plate should work. Im planning on putting in the 150 hp jets and using the progressive to ramp it in as needed. Im having issues getting off the line at my home track right now so I'm going to t...

Re: Leaf Spring Suspension ?
I made some like the old super stock springs for my nova and used some old no name single adjustable shocks on my nova at first. It would go mid 1.4's 60's on a 28x10" tire. If you have the money to do the carvert stuff go that route, lots of very fast cars using that suspension.

Re: Cant get car to 60'
You have the right stuff to be in the mid to low 1.3 range with your 60's, but I would bet your gearing is holding you back. I would try a 4.11 gear or maybe a 28" tire. The 454r manifold is a killer peice btw, especialy if some one takes a grinder to it.

new shocks?
I found myself with a little extra money to spend on the car so I ordered up some Strange DA rear shocks for my nova as I havent been able to 60' this year like I have in the past. Im going 4 tenths faster than I was last year, but my 60's are 4 to 6 hundreths slower I am looking for a good starting...
