Im finishing the cage and putting in a 4 link rear this winter. Ive had a few of the faster guys around here tell me I'll be in the 9's with the improved grip, but they could just be blowin smoke. I was wondering how big of shot it took to go from 9.90's to 8.90? I know its apples to oranges but my ...

I too would like to know what it takes to go fast. Im running 10.2's n/a at elevation and think I'll only get faster running the 4 link with a little bigger tire. My 555 is built for n2o and there aren't any door cars around here running in the 8's how big of a shot would it take? The guy who built ...

rim size

I'm switching to a 28x11.5 tire for next year and was wondering if a 15x10" or 15x12" rim would be better. Ive noticed that a lot of the 10.5 guys run 12" rims and dont really know why. Thanks Jason

a 15x8" rim with 5" of back spacing and moved the shocks to the inside, but no fender mods and a stock width rear end. Also I think you want as much gear as your combo can stand with a glide to help heavy cars get out of the hole.

Just my two cents. My 74 nova with a 555 and a glide with 4.30 gears Runs 10.2's on 28x10" hoosiers @ 7500+ D.A. It has chrysler style leafs w/ single adj rear shocks and cheapy slapper bars. It hooks pretty hard, but spins the tires at the top of low gear. I think you should hook just fine wit...

I wish I could talk my dad into calverts and cal trac's but this winter were going to 4 link the nova, finish the interior and bumpers. Also add white stripes.

Thanks for all the ideas to look for but I found my problem. Somehow my dipstick tube got pushed down too far and was reading full when there was only 5qts. At least there was no metal in the pan or signs the bearings going:D

oil pressure drop

Hello everyone. Yesterday at the races my 555 bbc started loosing oil pressure at half track. It was fine durring the burnout showing 75 psi ant 6500 rpm, but when I was accelerating it droped to 40 psi and I shut it down. On the return road I started it back up and it had 50 psi so I drove it back ...
