According to this, you can weld aluminum to steel: Super Alloy 1 is a multi-metal, low temperature solder with a melting point of 350o. Its unique properties allow you to join copper, aluminum, brass, pot metal, white metal, zinc die cast, stainless, galvanized, pewter and steel in any combination....

Hello I have a 66 chevy II sedan that I have put a TCI front frame on. I now am having trouble finding headers. The engine builder is saying I need to use 1 7/8 with adapter plates on the heads. All the traditonal makers are not able to help. Has anyone had the TCI frame and what headers did you use...

the old days

Decades ago that was a hot trick. Some guys even put carb base plates on the TR and then drilled the runnings for injectors.
