Here's what we use. The back-ends not done on the truck in this picture. It's not a 1/2 ton, but you don't even realize the trailers back there. Can pass 3 cars going up hill running 70mph with two cars in the trailer, full of water in the living quarters, and the quad on the truck.

If you run IHRA, I don't think your cage needs to be certified until you go quicker than 9.00. But yes on everything else except for the neck collar and gloves unless its an open bodied car.
