Launch advice please
Looks to me like my new combo is crushing my stiff sidewall slicks. This was at 12 PSI. I don't know if I should air it up and try to hit it harder to get it to hook, or move the Caltracs to the bottom hole and start there? Thoughts? 4.88 gear, 28" tire, Trans Brake, 90/10 shocks up front w/ 6 ...
Re: Rings
Went with CR Total Seals....we'll see how it goes.
Rings
Suggestions... Gotta get something ordered soon, just don't know what to do. I like the idea of gapless, but as I read it seems they may have issues in race engines - something about ring flutter. The engine will be a 439 (427 BBC .060 over) Manly 13:1 pistons. I really doubt it will ever get sprayed.

Re: Would it be bad to....
Gonna go coin floor. Might have to wait a bit. I busted my block while the car was in storage last year. Thought I had all the water out...guess not. But, if anyone has a good source for coin floor I'm all ears.

Re: Would it be bad to....
Update - The sticky tiles on the floor have not held up as well as I would have liked. I didn't even race this last year, and they are curling and starting to peel up. I even used extra adhesive when I put them down. Oh well was worth a try. Just wanted to warn others in case they thought of trying ...

Re: Collector Size & Length - how short is too short?
I thought there was a sweet spot for collectors? I looked through my notes and found a formula for tubes, but not collectors.

Re: Under the Tree
I need santa and his elves to finish my house...so I can get all my house stuff out of my trailer...so I can get my car to the track.
Re: Air Pan
I put an air pan on mine for air temp consistency. I figured if it was pulling air from outside it would be more accurate in my logs than if it was getting air willy nilly that may or may not have been influenced by engine, radiator or header heat.
Anyways that's how I justify mine.

Re: Some Progress on the Nova
Hey John,
I had my nova and golf cart in my 28'. Golf cart had back seat and I had a bench in the front of the trailer. About 1-2 foot between the car and cart and a foot from the back door to the car.
