I just rebuilt our front loader cause the basket broke, but it is not my profession. Lots of info on the web though. What's the problem?

Re: 1/4 mile converter slip??
On this topic (hopefully) with my combination, the rpm's fall to about 58-5900 no matter if I shift at 65, 7, 72, 74, (depending on class and weather). Marty you stated an generic rpm range per combination. I would say mine is the low torque combo but my question is does my situation seem right or s...

Header bolts and ladder bar rod end nuts...I always forget to check them and they always come loose. If you have driven it on the street and it passed inspection you shouldn't have much to worry about. Where you plan on testing?

Re: Built powerglide and4500 stall on the st?
That isn't too bad of a gear depending on rear tire size, I assume it is tubbed? Make sure it has enough fuel and timing at cruise and that puller fan may be disturbing the airflow as Mike mentioned. Also is the trans cooler separate from the rad?

Yeah I agree with John and was also wondering about the CID. I think at least low 10's depending on how the combination works.

Re: Electric Water Pump Switch
With the pump off and no circulation, how will you protect against hot spots that are far from the thermal switch? Areas may be much hotter than the set point of the switch. X2 ....I would not run the motor without the pump, use the switch for the fan, in case you forget to turn it on. That is what...

Re: Turbo 400 Transmission
34 element sprag is a must, you can swap the flat bushings at the tailshaft for torrington roller bearings. Have a good shop re-work the pump, there is a trans brake mod (don't remember specifics) that can be done even if you don't have a brake helps increase line pressure. Good (red) clutches and s...

I have been a few racing events with him, but did know him personally. A few people I know were good friends with him. This story is more tragic than you can imagine. The roll bar padding is a good idea.

Re: Good Weekend for Me.
Hey Bruce, like Don said, when you check the stall you want to make sure the engine is loaded (traction). Drive in high gear real slow and mash the throttle. The rpm the motor jumps to is your stall. If the tires spin it is useless. Is there a reason why you are using a long water pump? 13 volts isn...
