Re: Small tire vs Big tire
My car has a ladder bar suspension and I run a 32 x 14 on 15 x 14 rims.
One word of advice, don't do like I did and NOT stretch the quarters.
Open them up, make your life easier.

Re: 68 Camaro Master cut off switch
Here is how I did mine and I used a punch to make the switch opening, which I think was around 1" or a bit larger.
I have also used a unibit.

Re: C-clip eliminators and 30 spline axles
According to what Strange publishes, their SS axle, 30 spline is only good for up to 450HP.
For the HP you listed, I'd go with 35 spline.
As for the "C" clips, I'm not sure, I use a 9" Ford.

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose
I'm running the 6AL w/ Blaster 2 coil right now. I got a good deal on a 7AL2 and will use the Pro Coil. Compression is 13.7:1 and I reset the gap to 30. Here is a quote from a guy at MSD and it contradicts what they state in their manuals. "But if it’s a race engine with compression ratios of 1...

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose
I took the carb apart and found nothing, it was all clean. Fired it back up after changing the oil/filter and it still had a miss. Did some reading on MSD's site and changed the plug gap from 40 to 35 and fired it up. Sounded a little better but still had that same miss. Well it looks like I may hav...

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose
Update: I took the car to the track for an interesting day. I'll spare you all of the "pre-race" issues that went on that day, but after my first burnout, the car died on me. I re-fired it three times and couldn't keep the car running so they pushed me out. I got it back to the pits and we...

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose
Well Ray got the motor up and running. After a few adjustments and the timing set, the motor sounds great. Here is a link to a few video's and a special guest appearance by Rapid Ray....LOL https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPLRitj4NID12bL7kRXWBy0Shjla-ZI93ngM3ZMVH0T594mQ2vHIYHqDyARBOVJow?key=YXM...

I was born beautiful, not rich like you.
I can't even afford those Swanson salisbury steaks at your local grocery store.

I've already seen that when you were grilling burgers in your shorts, not a pretty sight....LMAO Speaking of that, bring some of that prosciutto wrapped around mozzarella with an olive, all stuck on a tooth pick. All I can say is I'm looking forward to hearing this motor come to life. Fingers crosse...

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose
Considering this is the first engine Bruce has had that doesn't require pulling a string to start it, he'll be recording it. Ray is just getting nervous because he knows that my car "NOW" has the potential to run with his dinosaur..... That's why he's going down to the track in a fe...
